See how Charanjeet is cradling his hand. As a farmer his hands are everything to him, but one winter day, he warmed his hands in front of the fire and burnt himself badly. He hadn’t felt anything. By the time he was diagnosed in The Leprosy Mission hospital in India, his hand was in a terrible condition. Charanjeet was worried about whether he could continue working. Even in the middle of the Covid pandemic, he was offered surgery on his hand. When the plaster was removed, he was overjoyed. His fingers were straight, and he was able to make a fist. Thanks to you, he can now work again.
