Niranjan's story
Your gift could help someone like Niranjan, whose hand began to claw and lose strength due to leprosy. Previous doctors had told him that his hand would never improve, and he feared his fingers would always remain clawed. However, since having reconstructive surgery in Shahdara Hospital in India and then carrying out physiotherapy exercises, he can now bend his fingers again.
He says, ‘When I get better, I would love to go back to work and do whatever I am capable of doing. When I will sit with people, no one will ask me questions about my hand anymore. I also think my mental health will improve.'
